Low-Frequency Magnetic Oscillations Induced by Strong Electron Correlations

چکیده

To explain the low frequencies of quantum oscillations observed in lightly doped cuprates, we consider two-dimension Hubbard model supplemented with perpendicular magnetic field. For large repulsions, electron spectrum is investigated using cluster perturbation theory. Obtained at small deviations from half-filling are close to those experimentally, $F\approx500$~T. They stem Fermi surface pockets located nodal regions Brillouin zone. The formed by arcs and less intensive segments, which make nearly circular.

Low Frequency Oscillations Suppression via CPSO based Damping Controller

In this paper, the Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) is enhanced with a Chaotic Particle Swarm Optimization (CPSO) Damping Controller in order to mitigate the Low Frequency Oscillations (LFO) in a Single Machine Infinite Bus (SMIB) power system. The designed damping controller is an optimized lead-lag controller, which extracts the speed deviation of the generator rotor and generates the out...

Low-frequency conductivity of a nondegenerate two-dimensional electron liquid in strong magnetic fields

We study the conductivity of a nondegenerate two-dimensional electron liquid in a quantizing magnetic field for frequencies well below the cyclotron frequency. The conductivity is formed by electron transitions in which the energy of a photon goes to the interaction energy of the many-electron system, whereas the involved momentum is transferred to the quenched disorder. The conductivity peak i...

Low-Frequency Microwave Induced Quantum Oscillations in A Two-Dimensional Electron System

We study the magnetoresistance of an ultrahigh mobility GaAs/AlGaAs two-dimensional electron sample in a weak magnetic field under low-frequency (f < 20 GHz) microwave (MW) irradiation. We observe that with decreasing MW frequency, microwave induced resistance oscillations (MIRO) damp and multi-photon processes become dominant. At very low MW frequency (f < 4 GHz), MIRO disappears gradually and...

Low frequency magnetic fields in cars, induced by tire magnetisation

Alternating magnetic fields have been measured in a variety of different cars, the dominant contribution being from magnetized tires. Magnetic field strengths have been measured as a function of frequency directly at the tires and at different positions in rolling cars. Measurements at the tires showed field strengths up to 100 microTesla. In the interior of rolling cars, close to the wheels at...

Solids with Weak and Strong Electron Correlations

A number of methods are discussed which may serve for a treatment of electron correlations in solids. When the electron correlations are relatively weak like in semiconductors or a number of ionic crystals one may start from a self-consistent field calculation and include correlations by quantum chemical methods. An incremental computational scheme enables us to obtain results of high quality f...
